In the Mahabharata, the Pandava brothers are said to be actually fathered by five Gods. What about the Kauravas? Are they too actually fathered by Gods or someone who is not Dhritarashtra? Also, if the Kauravas are supposedly evil, does that mean that Dhritarashtra is evil as well?

The Pandavas have great respect for their mother Kunti - they see her as their utmost advisor and guidance. The brothers also share great love for Draupadi. Does the Bhutan culture revere and respect all women this way?

In Christianity, people argue over how the Bible should be interpreted. Some interpret the Bible very literally and follow the teachings very stricly, while others feel that the Bible does not have to be read literally. Does there exist any similar controversy or dispute over the interpretation of the Mahabharata in Bhutan? Is it a literal interpretation?

How do you think modernization and the advent of technology has affected the traditional values of Bhutan? Do you feel that the youth of Bhutan are more or less in touch with their native culture and traditions today or do you think that today's youth are losing touch with their heritage?

What role do women in Bhutan play? Do they have similar rights as men do?

In the Mahabarta, why do the Pandava brothers listen to Dhirtarashtra and follow his commands? Aren't they strong enough and popular enough to try and take over the kingdom?

In Bhutan, do women have equal political rights as men, such as voting and job opportunities? Or is any one gender favored? Also, if women don't, than what is their specific role in society?

In Bhutan, how do you learn the story of the Mahabharata in modern times (television, radio, plays)? Or are traveling storytellers still the norm?

How much of the Mahabharata is considered true? Is there a difference between the Bhutan version and the Indian version of the story? Are all the great heroes considered to be "gods" like Krishna?
